Will the snow ever stop

The 63th Annual Easter Beef Show is over for another year during one of the worst blizzards
in many years.  Although attendance at the show was down considerably,  the Sale was strongly
supported  once again by many businesses from all over the Island. Congratulations to all those
that continue to support this ongoing show including the exhibitors and organizers. Thanks to
our new PR person Amanda Doiron  and to Secretary Lynda McSwain who both did a great
job ensuring everything ran smoothly under the difficult weather circumstances.

He was impressive since he was a calf and was named Champion Simmental  Steer at the 2014 Easter Beef Show. Weighing 1300 lbs at 14 months old he was purchased by Agro Coop,  our feed supplier for $4.00 lb.  Thanks to those people for all the  nice comments on him also .We also want to thank Dr John Gillis Lodge of Belfast for their purchase of our Limousin steer weighing 1190 lbs and selling for $3.00 lb.  Also buying Derek and Julie's steer was Fair Isle Ford our local Ford dealership  in Charlottetown.

Plan to attend the Nappan Bull Sale on April 5.   We have a SAV Pioneer bull that will be selling . Check out  http://maritimebeefteststation.com/
