Grass time for the Angus herd

Glad to finally have cows out on grass and hopefully most of them bred. When our mature bull was injured after being out with cows for 2 days we didn't have to go far to find a impressive yearling bull  at  Dixon's Bannockburn Valley Angus herd  in Clyde River, PEI..  Bannockburn Maples Kodiak is a March JS Kodiak son we purchased from them and is new herd sire. We also AI'd some cows to mostly SAV Angus bulls and some show steers bulls .  Thanks to AI man  Brendon Crane and Genex-local rep. Kurt Duncan.  We plan to show a few head this year at Provincial Ex. in Charlottetown, PEI in August.  Most of our calves are crossbred this year but majority will be Angus next year. But we will pick a couple out to show in the Angus and Commercial show.
